My XBolo experience.. Download, run, complains about port forwarding, refuses to work. Overall result, I see a window and an error box.
Why not have at least a standalone screen visible on startup so I can at least have a bit of a play and decide whether that struggle with the router is worth it?

Cool. Where do I go to find other players?

This is at the developer of Xbolo:
I would just like to put this out there that I am currently working on building a map editor for bolo, and I seem to be making map files that work with Xbolo but not NuBolo, so I guess you are in luck. If you are interested in beta testing my editor then send me an email about it “sam@samsoftware.info”

Hi, It is possible to set auto-scroll ? Like the original Bolo game?
December 21st, 2009 at 8:49 am
No, but you can maximize your window taking advantage of your entire monitor. You can scroll using your mighty mouse scroll ball/multitouch trackpad or your keyboard arrow keys, which you can customize.
I don’t plan on adding autoscroll because it was a legacy of small screen sizes in the past.
I hope this helps.

Screens can still be small.
Auto-scroll is a must.

Hey, myself and a couple of friends are all trying to get together and play some Bolo! Really looking forward to getting down to the nitty-gritty.
p.s. How does one register for the forum?
January 7th, 2010 at 8:45 pm
I’ve disabled the ability for new users to join on the forum due to the default phpbb captcha being broken by spammers.
I was getting about 100+ spam bots a day before I disabled it.
One of these days I’ll make a custom captcha but for now just post on here. Sorry.

It’s great to play Bolo again!

Is there anytime when folks like to play? I’ve only ever seen one other person besides the people that I drag on with me.

Oh man, this brings back a lot of memories… I wonder how many hours I spent playing Bolo back in the early 90’s? Way too many, I’m sure! It’s scary to think that that was nearly 20 years ago now!

I’ve been waiting for a intel native bolo for so long. Excellent job!
